Thriller is the key to world peace.

Here we have my children doing what they do when they are bored in the car. Scream. I decided today that instead of stopping it I would video it.  And don't worry, I didn't take my eyes off the road. I just placed my phone on my shoulder so I could catch all the action.

And here are those same screaming children listening to Thriller.

I will blast and dance to Thriller in the car every day of the week if it means I don't have to drive around listening to that screaming.

It never ceases to amaze me how these two can go from being the best of friends to the worst of enemies then back to the best of friends all within seconds.

The end.

Move, Learn, Eat

"3 guys, 44 days, 11 countries, 18 flights, 38 thousand miles, an exploding volcano, 2 cameras and almost a terabyte of footage... all to turn 3 ambitious linear concepts based on movement, learning and food ....into 3 beautiful and hopefully compelling short films.....
= a trip of a lifetime."

Came across these short films today. I found all 3 of them very inspiring. I have always wanted to travel the world, but watching these has made my desire to experience the world and all its different cultures even greater.

4 going on 16.

A few days ago I came upstairs to find Chase putting on some of my makeup.
Yes it was cute....but while watching her, before she noticed I was there, I had visions of life with a teenage daughter. I gotta say...it scared me just a little.
Heaven help me when that time comes.

This is how today looks.

It all started at 1:00 am when my cellphone rang. Blocked number, and of course they hung up only to call back 2 more times. As usual, it took me a good few hours to fall back to sleep. It seemed as though I had been asleep for seconds when both of my children decided at 5:00am that it was time to wake up for the day, and nothing Jamison or I could say or do could change there mind. So today our day started at 5:00am.  To look at the bright side of things, its good the day started so early because we have lots of people coming over tonight for a bbque, and my house looks not so hot. So I got all my cleaning done by noon. I showered, and when I came out this is what I found:

Chase fast asleep on the floor. Cohen playing who knows what on the ipad. And yes, they are both still in there PJ's.
I am so tired. My basement still looks like a toy tornado hit it, and I just don't care.
I just want to lay face down by my girl and join her in a mid day nap session.

This is how Cohen rocks.

A while back, while listening to my iphone on shuffle, this song came on. Ever since then I have thought of this song as Cohen's song. He goes crazy every time it comes on.
Here is just a small sampling of his loving of this song.

Chase's first day of school.

Today Chase started school at her new preschool. This is her second year of preschool...then next year KINDERGARTEN. Yikes. I can't believe how fast 4 years have come and gone. Do I really have a 4 yr old? It blows my mind how fast she is growing.

She was very excited to start school again, and to meet her new teacher. After I got home from the parent orientation a few days ago Chase was asking me questions like, "What color is my teachers hair?",  "How long is my teachers hair?", "Was my teacher wearing a dress?". Apparently she was mostly concerned with how her new teacher looked.  She did great today when I dropped her off...and so did I, not like last year where I called Jamison crying because I couldn't believe I had just dropped our little girl off at preschool. Looking back it seems beyond ridiculous, but I think its pretty common for Mommas dropping their first child off on the first day of school. This second time around I was a little sad, but mostly excited for her. The only thing she had a hard time with was the fact that she couldn't take her backpack. This new preschool requires tote bags instead of backpacks. Major Bummer. Guess the strawberry shortcake backpack will be closeted for the year.

"Wear Sunscreen". Remember this???

I believe I was in high school (?) when this came out. I probably didn't think it was that great then, but I think its pretty awesome now. Glad I came across it:)
enjoy.
