Family Pictures.

Here are a few of the family pictures taken by Allison, but first, a few things:
1. In order to post these pics I had to copy them with my iphone, email them to myself, then save to computer. For that reason they are kindof grainy. The real ones are ALOT better quality. Another reason why I want a Mac Book. Santa can you hear me???
2. Chase and Cohen were both incredibly tired and in really bad moods for this photo session. Chase could see the play ground, only wanted to go play, and no amount of bribing could get her happy for the pictures. Thats why I was amazed we were able to get some of her smiling. I swear she is the moodiest 2 yr old on planet earth.
3. These were taken back at the beginning of Oct. I can't believe how much Cohen has changed. It blows my mind!! I was sad we couldn't get any of him smiling, but the day of, I was mostly worried about making sure he wasn't crying in every picture.
4. Allison Cox photography. Check it out immediatly.

Seattle Adventure 09

This past weekend we headed to Seattle with the Chipmans to visit our friends Aimee and Scott. It was an adventure...let me tell you. First on the agenda was Pikes. Chase and Teagan. After Pikes Aimee and Scott took us to a delish sushi restaurant. Jamison was brave (since he hates seafood more than anything...I think he would rather eat poo), and actually ate some sushi. I am proud of him.

Friday we decided to go to the Olympic Wild Game farm. On the way we talked of finding the perfect small town diner and eating there. As we were driving along, out of the blue Scott said, "There it is!!". Our lifes will never be the same. Let me introduce you to Smittys.
Imagine if you will, entering a diner and being greeted by more Christmas decorations then you have ever seen in your entire life, coupled with the smell of old people times a billion, and a waitress who I think was literally stuck in the realm of the 80's. At the last moment we tried to think of an excuse to escape, but it was to late. Smittys had sucked us in.I was a bit overwhelmed...being accosted by Christmas and all.

Oh yes, here we are on the ferry on the way to Smitty/Olympic Wild Game Farm. We had no idea what we were in for.

And now, Olympic Wild Game Farm

If you've ever dreamed of having a buffalo the size of a mini van stick his huge head in your car window and slobber all over you with his 10 inch tounge, then this is the place for you. But seriously it was awesomeBold. We went there with the kids in mind, thinking they would love it. Turns out they didn't enjoy animals attempting to enter the car, but us adults had the time of our lives.

Chase and Teags checking out the bears (which will do tricks).

There were zebras, lamas, elk, reindeer, bears, wolves, lions, peacocks. Oh what fun.

Chase was nervous.

Other adventures included: going to fun parks.

The Troll

Since we were on the go the whole time, Chase had to fit in her naps whenever/where ever she could. Even if it was while watching Dora on the ipod with headphones on.

And now, the video taken whilst at Olympic Game Park. My favorite parts are pretty much everything Aimee says, and at the end, Jamisons comparing the animals to the chain saw guys at haunted houses.

Big thanks to Aimee and Scott for letting us stay with them / Scott providing the awesome photgraphy/ Aimee creating my lovely blog banner!!

Seattle we love you!

(and if you want to see more of our fun adventures you can do so here and here)

Dancing in wellies, and a finished bedroom

"Hey Cohen, check out my awesome shoes. You like? Well watch how I dance in them. 5-6-7-8"
The real question is why the crap do I take pictures of her dancing, when I should be taking a video?? Sometimes when she dances it reminds me of the dance moves Micheal Cera does in Super Bad while hes singing to those dudes..you know the part??
Last night I was watching So You Think You Can Dance. Its the one show I like that I can actually watch in real time with my kids. The reason being Chase likes to watch and imitate moves.
This is what she did when I said "pose!!"

Here she looks like she is missing an arm.

And below is Chases finished bedroom. She has had her twin bed for almost a year now...with no bedding. I mean she had bedding, but a mismatched hodgepodge of whatever. I had this plan to have my Grandma make her a quilt and pillow shams for her bed, thinking that would save money and be cool, because it would be a one of a kind heirloom type thing for Chase. What I soon learned was that to buy all the cute fabric would be just as expensive as buying a premade quilt, and also my Grandma hand quilts everything....so we would be looking at it taking months and months for the quilt to be completed. So needless to say, I finally gave up on the dream of the quilt and just bought her one. But I like it. And I know no one reallly cares what her bedroom looks like, but I was proud of the finished product so I wanted to share. This is Chases side of the bedroom (Cohens has yet to be completed, or even started for that matter. Hopefully someday soon we will be in a house with more bedrooms so I don't even have to worry about it. )

This print is my favorite part of the room. I purchased it at this Etsy shop which I love.

Ohhhh, baby do you know what thats worth? Oh heaven is a place on earth.

Shout out to Belinda Carlisle. Her songs hold many a good childhood memory for me.
Anyways, where is this heaven on earth? you may wonder.
It is a little place called Sweet Tooth Fairy. My knowledge of Sweet Tooth Fairy came about when almost every blog in the universe started mentioning how amazing their cupcakes were. Well, I new I wanted to go try it, but I also new I didn't like driving to Provo, or being in Provo for that matter....but today we got a notice that our power was going to be out from 9-2 while the electric company did whatever it is they do when they turn off your power, so I thought today would be the perfect day to make the trek to Provo. It was a interesting trip, and the only good part was the actual cupcakes (amazing).
On a side note, I don't like Provo. I lived there for 2 yrs while attending college, and it was fun. But, still, I just don't like Provo. My Mom and I went to lunch after picking up our cupcakes, and my Mom out of the blue said "I don't like it here. I always get the wierdest vibe when I come here (meaning Provo)" I told her we were on the same wave length because I was thinking the same thing. Sorry if I've offended anyone. Maybe I'm just not giving it a fair chance (although, once again, I did live there for 2 years).
But, thats totally beside the point. The point is: Go to the The Sweet Tooth Fairy, and I guarantee you will have the best cupcake you have ever had in your life.
Here we have me devouring a coconut cupcake (my favorite of the cupcakes). If this picture scares you I understand. I can be very frightening when I am devouring a cupcake.

Strawberry shortcake cupcake. Delicious.

Sorry to be getting off the subject again, but I love this little guy. What you are seeing is him laughing hysterically at some crazy thing Chase was doing. We are leaving for Seattle next week and leaving him with my parents. I will miss him SO much.

You want??

Due to our recent purchase of some new furniture, we now need to get rid of some things that no longer go with our decor. I have posted it all on KSL and such, but thought I would post them on the ol'blog also incase we had any friends who might be interested. Here we have 3 Mercer Lane frames. They retail for between 30 to 40 dollars a frame (if you don't believe me the price tags are still on the back), but if anyone wants, I will sell them all togethor for 30 bucks. They are in perfect condition, and hold 5x5 size pictures.

Here is the entertainment center we were using up until today:). The opening for the T.V is about 37 inches wide. All the shelves inside are adjustable.

And below is the coffee table that matches the entertainment center.
We would sell the two togethor for $150. The entertainment center and coffee table have a few tiny nicks and scratches, but nothing major, and black touch up paint would fix them right up.

Let me know if you are interested:)

The flood gates have opened.

Lately I have been feeling very confrontational. The funny thing about that is that I'm not really a confrontational person. I have come to the conclusion that as a result of holding my feelings on certain things inside for so long, they can't be held in any longer.

Example: A certain girl I know (whom will remain anonymous), is married to a certain man who is a jackass. She complains to me quit often of her situation, and I tell her my feelings about how she should leave him over and over and over and over again. But I try to be nice. I really try. Then the other day I exploded. In so many words I basically told her she was as much an idiot as he was for staying with him. I told her someone should turn her into child protective services for making her daughter live like she is. I then told her that better yet, I think I will turn her in. I'll be honest. I sat on my high horse and told her exactly how it is (because of course I have everything figured out and I am perfect..wink, wink). I was mean. Really, really mean (I will leave out some of the more choice things I said). When I was done she had this expression like I had just punched her in the face. Then the tears. Oh the tears. I won't go into the conversation that ensued. But it got me to wondering "where in the world did that come from? The normal me would never had said those mean things."

Another example: I went with my mom to pick up some furniture she had purchased. Since I drive an SUV I offered to take her so we could fit the table in my car. About 3 people that worked at the furniture store helped us out to the car and were trying to decide on how to proceed in putting the table in. I sat and listened to them try and figure it out for about 5 minutes, and then BAM. I couldn't take it any longer. I turned into one of those custumers I despise. I told them I didn't have time for this. I grabbed that incredibly heavy table all by myself, and told them if they wanted to stick around I would show them how it was done. I then said "Does it seriously take 3 of you to figure this out?" My Mom looked at me like an alien had abducted her daughter and replaced her with this pissed off lunatic. Yikes. It wasn't pretty.

This is what I think. Sometimes I hold stuff in. Sometimes when I should say something, I don't because I worry to much about what people will think, or about hurting someones feelings.
I am now realizing I can't do it anymore because the result is me spontaneously turning into a b****. After holding stuff in for so long, you get to a point where you can't do it anymore...then you can't help but unload it on the first people that come along, whether they deserve it or not.

So, there you have it. My lesson has been learned, and thank you for letting me share.

Spooktacular Halloween

I am sad the Halloween festivities are over. I must say it is my favorite holiday. This year our friends Nick and Lara threw a Halloween party at their cabin the night before Halloween. Everyone was supposed to dress up...and although I must say I think Jamison and I had the least creative costumes, my butterfly makeup was the coolest (of course thanks to Chelsea). Jamison was basically himself, dressed exactly how he had been dressed in a funny horror movie we made with friends awhile back. We thought it was a cool idea...until we saw everyone elses freaking awesome costumes.
Playing games. Mason is the one wearing the pink robe. You can't tell from the pic, but he was dressed as a "never nude" the cut off shorts are under the robe. If you have watched Arrested Developement you will know exactly why I thought that was the most hilarious of the costumes. If you have never watched Arrested Developement then go do so immediatly.

Here is Emily. She is Kristin Wiigs character in the one of the funniest SNL skits ever. Devin, her husband, was Lawrance Welk. When they walked in she sang while he blew bubbles on her. If you haven't seen the skit, you must go watch it here.

Here we have Spencer. He was Soul Man.

Keller and Melissa. They were characters from Friday Night Lights. The funniest part of that was that they were the only ones there that have actually ever watched that show, so no one could figure it out unless they explained.

Preston and Tara as our President and First Lady.

And in honor of Patrick Swayze, we have Nick dressed as Patricks character from the famous Swayze/Farley SNL skit. I didn't get a pic of Lara, but her costume was equally as awesome. She was Julia Child . And of course Jamison...as himself.

Unfortunatly I didn't get pictures of everyone that was there. Just trust me when I say everyone looked awesome in their costumes.

On Halloween we hung out with the Fam and trick-or-treated. Chase had the time of her life going house to house collecting candy. Cohen just hung out all toasty warm in his monkey costume.

Happy Halloween!!!
